In my childhood dreams, I lived in a world where toothpaste came in many flavors,
this at a time when several mint varieties were all that was available.
In my childhood dreams, I lived up high in the sky, looking out over the clouds and city below. Such houses do exist, now I know.
In my childhood dreams, I could eat chocolate in its every form, no fear of cavities or weight gain, just pure enjoyment without consequence.
In my childhood dreams, I was forever young, could play all day with my friends and cousins, and my parents were still married, only happily so.
In my childhood dreams, I was always safe, always felt secure, and never wanted for anything.
Now, if only I could return to my childhood dreams, but I will go one better…
if only I could live them out in real life, that would be divine.
