The Truest Friend

To the truest of friends that I’ve met thus far,

May God travel with you wherever you are.

Know that I care, and in spirit am there,

regardless of whether I am present, I am Dear.

For when you think of me, I am thinking of you too.

And when you are missing me, I am surely missing you.

As my life alters greatly now, rearranging me back to my former self,

I remember all the times we shared, imagining that we were there.

I long to hold you through the night, to let you sleep when stresses fight.

To love you through the lonely times, and make you feel your worth, such mirth.

Perhaps I should not hold such hope, but I still hold out that fate had us meet.
