The Man Behind the Curtain

Pay no attention , or so we’ re told. to the Man behind the fold.

He is no one, he’s not here, you see nothing, there’s nothing there.

Do I listen to Them? Do I hear my own thoughts? Do I just believe what I am taught? Who’s to say that what I felt was not true, was not real?

There is an ever present fear that what I see is imaginary.

What could determine, what would distinguish, the magic that’s real and the one that’s just spiel.
