My Good Friend John

By Angela K. Lacey

I have a good friend, his name is John.
Let me tell you all about him with this little poem.
He has a heart the size of Gnome,
John is always there to listen,

often that’s his only mission.
He is just a man, yes that is true.
But a rock of stability, a faithful companion.
Not necessarily humble, but grateful.
The love from him is genuine,
You can tell the difference!
He’s not fair a weathered friend;
quick tempered and a little rash
perhaps, but always quick to correct.
Like some metals, he heats up quickly,
but cools just as fast.
